The fear of the unknown

Am I the only one that has this fear?

There are times when you feel convinced that you’re on the right track and everything is just going on perfectly for you. Then this creepy thought starts popping into your head – disrupting the good plans you have. The fear that the future is not so bright after all, and then doubts set in.

The fear of the unknown…

It seem like the decision you made isn’t worth it. The future ambition isn’t achievable considering the number of years it would take to get through. Then you’re left with the option of either going back on the decision you’ve made or scaling through the odds.

For some weeks now, this has been my thoughts.

I’ve been wondering if everything is going to be alright as expected or envisaged.

If there is actually a rainbow at the end of the heavy down pour.

If there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

If there is still a glimpse of a shinning cloud in the dark one.

Am I the only of that think of this?

But then there is a tiny still voice battling against the negative one, assuring me that ALL IS WELL!

Yes! All is well.

Think of this quote “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”
― H.P. LovecraftSupernatural Horror in Literature

There comes the assurance that you are on the right track and it’s not right to give up; stay focused. It also reminds you that you’ve not received the spirit of fear but that of adoption!

So if you’re reading this today, this is to encourage you not to stop, keep running, you are a CHAMP and you can’t afford to give up now!

It’s easier said than done right? Yeah. I need this advice more than any one else.

But let’s  keep pushing howbeit; it’s not going to be easy, we’ll surely get there.

Much love,

Lara.

  1. I guess it happens to everyone of us. Its the reason why we try to work harder than usual, try to get married on time, get a degree….because of the fear that one would ne’er amount to anything in life without crossing these milestones.
But fear isnt of God. And no one has any control of tomorrow. No matter how long it seems, light always come at the end of the tunnel. Most of our fears are unfounded.

    1. I couldn’t agree more with you Yetunde. Sometimes, like you said it could be the more a ‘push’ to make us work harder and be better persons. But then we shouldn’t let FEAR consume us, instead we should place our FAITH in God who is always with us in everything we do.
