Valentine’s Day -Blog Launch

Okay, Finally! This is happening after so many days, weeks and months of procrastinating. A friend asked, ‘hey! when would you be launching your blog?’ I just quickly answered, “I’m still working on it”. Sincerely, I thought I wasn’t ready to start, but then I realized I would keep postponing till God knows when. So taking this first step is a very important one for me.

Without adding much significance to this and as part of what we would be discussing on this blog. Today 14th of February, a day that depicts love, I decided to launch the blog!

This day seems like every other day to me not because I don’t believe in love (of course I do believe in LOVE) but also because I think that every day should be a day to celebrate our loved ones. However, in recent times I don’t think I’ve had a proper Valentine’s day.

Asides exchanging gifts with classmates back then in secondary school, I can’t remember getting a surprise gift, but I’ve given out some. Today, I decided to add a little sauce to it, so I bought myself a gift (I love Vans shoes), and for the rest of the day; go home after work, gist with some friends in the neighborhood (if their partner hasn’t wheeled them away), prepare for tomorrow and finally sleep like a baby.

Howbeit, it is a season of love! Even after today, show some love, wow that special person in your life, that wonderful friend that stood your arse, that family member that stood by you during those awkward times and also that awesome partner that gives you butterflies in your belly when you think about them. Don’t wait till the next Valentine before you gift them or their birthdays (I know I’m guilty of this, I will surely turn a new leaf). It’s not too late to gift them, even as small as you can afford – wrapped in love and delivered with affection. That could put a little smile on that person’s lovely face. You would love to see them smile right? So just do it!
